COFFEE STORY

Pacavita, in western Honduras, is known for its biological reserves and mountain ranges. The region's rainy season promotes cherry growth, while the dry season allows for sun drying of washed coffees. Silvestre Vasquez and Joel Lopez are the primary producers of this lot. Silvestre has expanded his farm to higher altitudes to improve quality, while Joel manages Los Lesquines, a fourth-generation farm established in 1865. The farm produces mainly Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai varieties over 67 hectares. The region's unique conditions and the farmers' dedication result in high-quality beans. The clear dry season during harvest allows for optimal sun drying, enhancing the flavor and aroma of the coffee. The rich clay soil and warm sun contribute to the beans' integrity, making Pacavita a renowned region for coffee production. The farmers' commitment to quality and sustainability ensures a premium product.
