COFFEE STORY

The Mulish washing station, established by Faysel Abdosh in 2014, showcases the potential of Guji zone's coffee. Initially grouped under Sidamo, Guji gained recognition in 2002. Located 40 km from Shakiso, Mulish spans four hectares and is fully equipped for processing. The number of farmers has grown significantly, leading to a sister station, Bishan Dimo, in 2016. By 2022, over 1,000 farmers, primarily Oromo, bring their cherries to these stations. The region’s fertile soil supports diverse crops, and Mulish coffee is celebrated for its fruity notes and hints of chocolate. Future plans include upgrading to a water-efficient machine from Colombia.
