COFFEE STORY

San Cristóbal de las Casas, a "Pueblo Mágico" in Chiapas, is a town steeped in history and symbolism. Nearly half of the population is indigenous, mostly Tzotzil, and many earn a living through coffee production. The town is situated in the tropical highlands of Chiapas, with dramatic variations in weather, ranging from warm and wet to cool and dry. This unique combination of climate and rich soil creates ideal conditions for growing coffee. The region's proximity to the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico adds to its distinct microclimate. San Cristóbal's rich cultural heritage and optimal coffee-growing conditions make it a special place, contributing to Mexico's national identity and reputation for producing high-quality coffee.
